A responsive web experience designed for my Balkan and Turkish brass band, Sindikat Sina Roza. The site blends bold visual rhythm with functional clarity—animated transitions guide visitors through upcoming gigs, member bios, and a searchable music library that pulls dynamically from Google Sheets. I designed and developed it in React with Tailwind CSS and Framer Motion, emphasizing smooth interactions, expressive typography, and reusable data-driven components that keep content easy to update and performance fast across devices.
Overview
The Sindikat Sina Roza website is a digital home for my Balkan and Turkish brass band — a space that reflects the energy of our live performances while providing practical tools for fans and event organizers. The design blends vibrant motion and dark, atmospheric visuals to evoke the feeling of a nighttime street festival. Beyond its aesthetic, the site functions as an evolving hub: it dynamically displays upcoming shows from a live calendar feed, band member bios sourced from Google Sheets, and a searchable song library for musicians and researchers.
My Role
I led the end-to-end design and development of the site. From early sketches exploring how to translate the band’s sound into a visual language, to implementing the responsive React architecture and micro-interactions, I handled every aspect of the experience. My focus was on clarity, cohesion, and ease of maintenance — ensuring that non-technical band members could update content without touching code.
Tools and Skills
React, Tailwind CSS, Framer Motion: Built a modular, animated interface with smooth route transitions and responsive layouts.
Google Sheets + Papaparse: Created live, editable data sources for the members page and music library.
ICAL.js and Luxon: Integrated a live calendar feed for upcoming shows.
Design & UX: Visual storytelling, typography systems, responsive hierarchy, and interaction design.
Outcome
The final site feels both handcrafted and alive — a living archive that grows with the band. It communicates personality through motion and typography while remaining fast, accessible, and maintainable. Fans can easily find shows, listen, and connect; musicians and collaborators can explore the band’s repertoire. Most importantly, it captures the collective spirit of Sindikat Sina Roza: bold, dynamic, and joyfully unpolished.
